Full-Day Private Gourmet and Sake Brewery Tour in Yamaguchi Prefecture

Tour Itinerary: 11 to 12 Hour Full Day Tour

1. Pick-Up

• Pick up at the International Port Terminal, Hakata Station, or a local hotel in Fukuoka.

2. Karato Market Breakfast Stop

• Drive 100 kilometers northeast (approx. 1 hour) to Karato Market in Shimonoseki, where we will stop for breakfast at the renowned seafood restaurants. Enjoy a variety of fresh sashimi and sushi, a perfect start for seafood lovers.

3. Dassai Sake Brewery Tour

• Head east deeper into Yamaguchi Prefecture (approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes) to visit the famous Dassai Sake Brewery. Experience an incredible 1-hour tour in English, where you'll learn about the sake-making process and taste the various sake produced on-site. Tours are available between 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., depending on availability.

4. Ruriko Temple and Yuda Hot Springs

• Either before or after the Dassai Sake tour, visit Ruriko Temple and its stunning 5-story pagoda. We will also explore the nearby Yuda Hot Springs, where you can enjoy foot baths that are popular in this scenic hot spring town.

5. Karato Market Lunch Stop

• After the temple visit, return to Karato Market for lunch. Indulge in more seafood delights, including the famous Fugu (pufferfish) and other sashimi or cooked fish dishes.

6. Akama Shrine Visit

• Take a short stroll after lunch to visit the nearby Akama Shrine, admired for its unique architecture and colorful structures.

7. Kanmon Bridge or Pedestrian Tunnel

• Head back to Kyushu, crossing the impressive Kanmon Bridge. For a more unique experience, you have the option to walk through the pedestrian tunnel under the sea, where we will meet at the Mekari Shrine on the Kyushu side.

8. Mount Sarakura Observation Deck

• Our final stop is the unforgettable Mount Sarakura Observation Deck, offering incredible panoramic views of Kitakyushu City.

9. Return to Fukuoka City

• After enjoying the scenic view, we will head back to our drop-off point in Fukuoka City.
